Geoff Shingles
CBE, BSc (Hons), FIEE, FBCS, Chairman
Geoff was, until April 1994, Executive Chairman of Digital Equipment Co. Limited, where he served for 29 years. While at Digital, he worked both in the US and Continental Europe. He joined the Imagination Technologies board in 1994 becoming Chairman in 1996. He is Non-Executive Chairman of Sarantel Group Plc and is also a Non-Executive Director of a number of private companies.
Hossein Yassaie
PhD, Chief Executive Officer
After attaining his PhD, Hossein was a research fellow at the University of Birmingham. Prior to joining Imagination Technologies in February 1992, he was with STMicroelectronics and Inmos for eight years, where he set up and managed the DSP and digital video developments. Ultimately he became responsible for the system divisions, including research and development, manufacturing and marketing. Hossein joined the board in 1995. Hossein was Technical Director at Imagination Technologies before becoming Chief Executive Officer in June 1998.
Trevor Selby
BA (Hons), ACMA, Chief Financial Officer
Trevor worked for the Dowty Group until 1992 holding senior finance positions in several of the group's information technology companies, including Finance Director of Dowty Information Systems and latterly Finance Director of Dowty Communications. He continued with the business after it was acquired in 1992 becoming Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at Cray Communications. He joined Imagination Technologies, and the board, in 1996 as Group Finance Director.
David Hurst-Brown
BSc (Hons), FSI, Non-Executive Director
David worked for most of his career in the securities industry. In 2002 he left UBS, where, for more than ten years he had worked in Corporate Finance as adviser to a wide range of companies. David now works mainly as a consultant and his Non-Executive Directorships include Anite plc, Ffastfill plc and KeyData AIM VCT plc. He joined the board of Imagination Technologies as a Non-Executive Director in September 2000 and is Chairman of the Audit Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee.
Ian Pearson
Dip Tech (Hons), C.Eng, FIEE, Non-Executive Director
Ian has over 30 years experience with companies specializing in semiconductor design, manufacturing and management, with director level responsibilities. These companies include Inmos and SGS Thompson. He joined the board as Non-Executive Director in 1998. He is Chairman of the Remuneration Committee and serves on the Audit Committee. Ian is the senior Non-Executive Director.

John Metcalfe
Vice President & COO – Technology Division
John joined Imagination Technologies (then VideoLogic) in 1987 and worked on a range of video and graphics products before managing the driver development team. He then joined a technology consultancy, before returning in 1997. John became COO in 2005.
David McBrien
Vice President Sales & Business Development – Technology Division
David has an established track record of success in both chip and IP sales and has held management positions at Hitachi and at Parthus. He joined Imagination in 2002 to run business development for the company's technology groups. David has been formative in many of our most significant licensing deals.
Tony King-Smith
Vice President Marketing – Technology Division
Tony joined Imagination Technologies in 2006, and is responsible for all Marketing, OEM relationships and ecosystems. He has extensive experience in product and segment marketing including many blue chip corporate relationships. Prior to Imagination, Tony held senior engineering and marketing positions with Panasonic, Hitachi (now Renesas), LSI Logic and INMOS.
Martin Ashton
Vice President, POWERVR
Martin joined Imagination Technologies (then VideoLogic) in 1993 to start the company's 3D group. He was instrumental in developing POWERVR graphics technology.
Martin Woodhead
Vice President, ENSIGMA
Martin has over 20 years experience in the DSP industry and was project director of ENSIGMA prior to its acquisition by Imagination in 2000. Martin managed ENSIGMA's DAB and Mobile TV business before becoming VP of the ENSIGMA product line in 2005.
Jim Whittaker
Vice President, META
Jim studied the Electrical and Information Sciences Tripos at Cambridge. He designed the multi-threaded META processor, developed Imagination's chip layout capability and led the hardware team that created the integrated digital radio processors used by PURE. Jim is VP of the META product line.
Mark Dunn
Vice President, IMGworks
Mark, along with Martin Ashton, was responsible for designing the first generation of POWERVR graphics products. He has a masters in microelectronics and is a chartered engineer. Mark now runs IMGworks.
Paul Smith
Vice President & General Manager, PURE
Paul joined VideoLogic (now Imagination Technologies) in business planning and became responsible for operations, logistics and sales for the company's systems business. Paul was part of the senior management team that introduced the PURE brand and helped establish PURE as the number one brand for DAB. In September 2006 Paul became Vice President & General Manager of PURE.
