About Imagination Technologies

Technology surrounds us. We carry it with us every day in our phones, laptops and personal media players; we use it in our offices, homes and cars. For over a decade Imagination Technologies has been enabling this technology with unique, patented semiconductor intellectual property (IP) cores for multimedia and communications. Our IP entertains people, helps them communicate and helps them enjoy our information-rich world.

Developed by our Technology division, Imagination's IP lies at the heart of the latest advanced consumer products – semiconductor companies license it from us, and in turn sell it to many of the world’s leading electronics companies. The majority of top semiconductor companies licence our IP. We work closely with these companies and their customers.

Our PURE Digital division produces a range of products that incorporate and promote our technologies. PURE is the world leader in DAB digital radios.

We have a highly skilled workforce of over 400 people, of which over 80% are engineers. Our headquarters are near London, UK, with R&D centres in Chepstow and Leeds in the UK and Pune, India. Our Technology division has sales offices in Japan, the USA, Europe, Korea and Taiwan. PURE has offices in China and Germany.

Sixteen years ago I imagined a semiconductor intellectual property (IP) licensing business. Now most top consumer electronics brands use our technologies and there’s a very good chance that you own one or more products that are powered by Imagination.

Our multimedia and communications semiconductor IP cores are at the heart of today's most innovative and exciting consumer electronics products. Licensed by leading semiconductor manufacturers, they’re used in the highly complex System-on-Chip (SoC) devices that make today’s consumer electronics more sophisticated than ever before.

Imagination Technologies is a global organisation employing over 400 people worldwide. This success has been made possible by an exceptional team: a team who do difficult things well.

As you consider embarking on a career in this fascinating industry, I hope our website will give you an idea of what working at Imagination is like and whether it might be right for you.

Our graduates, and the talent and creativity they bring, are a cornerstone of our activities. If you’re excited by Imagination, we’d love to hear from you.
