The Role

IMG is looking for a strong Test Engineer (SQA). We are in the midst of delivering the software for the next generation of Visual IP cores; as a Test Engineer (SQA), you will be responsible for planning & executing the tests, coordinate with team members during the software release, contribute time estimates on software testing, Implementation of test methodology and processes, developing test case procedures and maintaining test documentation.

This role demands a strong testing background, a work style that reflects foresight, analysis & logic, systematic & orderly planning and attention to detail; an ability to work alone, reliably & responsibly; exercise an engineering judgment on the testing issues in a delivery, have excellent communication skills & a strong customer focus.

Primary responsibilities will include

  • Development of test specifications and plans for video decode
  • Developing test procedures and maintaining test documentation
  • Driving WHQL video decode certification testing
  • Executing tests for video decoder drivers on Windows 7
  • Providing detailed status reports on test execution
  • Troubleshooting hardware and software problems as required including installing and upgrading software based on a clear set of instructions
  • Defect reporting & coordinating with development teams upon test failure

Required Skills

  • Strong testing background including test case design.
  • 3 years plus experience testing within a Windows based environment.
  • Experience developing test applications using Windows API's.
  • Independent, Self-driven.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, Visio, MS Project.

Desirable Skills

  • Hands on experience in Windows Hardware Quality Labs (WHQL) test activity, processes, test suite.
  • Any knowledge on Windows Multi-Media frameworks.

Operating Systems

  • Work solely on Windows based operating systems

Qualifications
BSc in Engineering, Computing, Maths or Physics.
