The Role

Engineer implementing tools and library software to support our cutting edge communications product family.

This role demands a strong testing background, a work style that reflects foresight, analysis & logic, systematic & orderly planning and attention to detail; an ability to work alone, reliably & responsibly; exercise an engineering judgment on the testing issues in a delivery, have excellent communication skills & a strong customer focus.

Primary responsibilities will include

• Develop and maintain software development tools for the ENSIGMA UCC product family
• Develop and maintain device driver and API software for integration of the Ensigma UCC product family into system-level products
• Develop and maintain standard software build tools and scripts to support ENSIGMA system-level product development
• Develop and maintain libraries, simulations and tools to support the software design processes for ENSIGMA communications products

Required Skills

• C programming and software development for embedded systems
• Basic use of Unix/Linux, shell scripts, makefiles etc.
• Able to grasp new concepts and apply them to solving problems

Desirable Skills

• Experience of at least one assembly language
• Scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript etc.
• HTML, XML, XSL etc.
• Basic Java
