Ensigma Receiver IP Platform

UCCP Series3 IP Platform Family

Ensigma™ UCCP Series3 is the world’s most comprehensive Radio Processing Unit (RPU), delivering a fully programmable universal DTV, digital radio and Wi-Fi connectivity IP platform for integration into SoCs and advanced chipsets.

The latest member of the UCCP Series3 Family, the UCCP330, adds support for the ISDB-S satellite standard alongside DVB-S/S2, extends Wi-Fi support to include 802.11n 1x1, and adds Bluetooth support, whilst continuing to support standards already available on earlier UCCPs.

Series3 UCC programmable radio technology provides physical layer demodulation and modulation. The updated architecture brings connectivity standards to the UCC plus hardware support for multiple receive antennas to be used, for diversity reception or simultaneous multi-channel demodulation. A 32-bit embedded Meta processor performs system housekeeping, provides comprehensive MAC support for 802.11, and sub-HCI processing for Bluetooth.

The IP platform enables a true multi-standard subsystem in a similar silicon footprint to many competing single-standard solutions, realising industry-leading performance in all standards for all key parameters, such as sensitivity, noise, Doppler, and CCI.

UCCP Series3 is a complete baseband solution having digitized signal inputs (complex or real) and complex outputs for connection to an AFE and RF transceiver/tuner, with the option of both master and slave bus interfaces for data and control connections providing easy SoC integration.
