UCCP230 Receiver IP Platform

The Ensigma™ UCCP230 IP platform is a low-power, multi-standard demodulation solution supporting a number of TV, mobile TV, and radio standards. Implemented standards include DVB-T, DVB-H, T-DMB, 1/3/full-seg ISDB-T, DAB, DAB+, and FM with RDS. If required, all can be supported by a single IP platform.

The UCCP230 is built around Imaginations’ Universal Communications Core (UCC) programmable radio technology, which provides physical layer demodulation, a DMA controller for data transfer and a 32-bit embedded controller for system housekeeping. Additional hardware may also be present where appropriate, such as a data-link layer component for DVB-H.

The platform enables system integrators to include a true multi-standard subsystem in a similar silicon footprint to many competing single-standard solutions, realising industry leading performance in all standards for all key parameters, such as sensitivity, noise, and CCI.

UCCP230 provides a complete receiver solution, from digitized real (IF or low IF) or complex (I/Q) inputs, through demodulation and error-correction, to output of selected service streams. The platform delivers IP datagram output streams for DVB-H; MPEG-2 transport stream output for DVB-T, T-DMB, and ISDB-T; MSC data for DAB; and audio samples for FM.
