Rough Cookie is focused on the design and development of premium quality games for high-end mobile and handheld devices including the Apple iPhone. Located in The Netherlands, Rough Cookie is founded in 2008 and is privately held.

In June 2009 Rough Cookie released Star Defense, the highly-anticipated 3D tower defense game for iPhone, published by San Francisco-based ngmoco:). Also in June 2009, Japanese publisher TAITO launched Rough Cookie's 3D action puzzler game Water Ways. The company is currently working on new premium game titles.
