This demo illustrates the visual difference between different texture filter modes:
GL_LINEAR (Bilinear with no MIPMapping)
GL_LINEAR_MIPMAP_NEAREST (Bilinear with MIPMapping) and GL_LINEAR_MIPMAP_LINEAR (Trilinear).
