SGX Graphics IP Core Family
Imagination Technologies' POWERVR™ SGX Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) IP core family is a series of
OpenGL ES 1.1/2.0 and OpenVG 1.1 compliant graphics acceleration IP cores that meets the multimedia
requirements of a wide range of next generation consumer, communications and computing applications.
The POWERVR SGX architecture is fully scalable for a wide range of area and performance requirements, enabling it to target a wide range of markets from low cost feature-rich mobile multimedia products to very high performance consoles and computing devices.
The POWERVR SGX family incorporates the revolutionary Universal Scalable Shader Engine (USSE™), with a feature set that exceeds the requirements of OpenGL 2.0 and Microsoft Shader Model 3, enabling 2D, 3D and general purpose (GP-GPU) processing in a single core.
This demo approximates wave physics using a Perlin Noise based function to displace a tessellated grid and create per-pixel waves.
The skyscrapers rendered by this demo illustrate the shader capabilities of the POWERVR SGX family.
MRT Deferred Shading
This demo illustrates deferred texturing for which the POWERVR SGX family enables the usage of on-chip MRT buffers.
