Imagination Technologies and Nibiru sign memorandum for strategic cooperation

Nibiru, based in China is a global leader in VR technology and as a key partner, Imagination Technologies was invited to attend the second “N+” VR/AR/MR Technology International Summit, held in Nanjing, China, on 6 September 2017.

The summit, organised by Nanjing Municipal Government, saw the exhibition of next generation prototypes and brought together all types of technologies, content, channels, platforms and other components of the VR eco-system. The purpose of the event was to encourage wider collaboration within the industry, in order to drive developments.

The summit focussed on the aspects of foundation VR/AR/MR core technologies, including display, interaction, chip, and algorithms and included a discussion between industrial experts and invited guests on the current and future core technologies, and the impact of SLAM, AI and other technologies on the development of next generation computing platforms.

The delegation from Imagination Technologies includes James Liu, VP and General Manager of Imagination China, Volker Politz, VP of Segment Marketing, and Bowen Ke, Director of Marketing.

At the event, Imagination Technologies and Nibiru signed a memorandum, agreeing to establish strategic collaborations in the VR/AR/MR eco-system, and will be increasing cooperation in field applications, advance technology development, and university programme and research efforts.

Nibiru cooperationDuring Volker Politz’s keynote address, titled “Enabling Innovation with AI”, he introduced different aspects of current technologies, including the application of neural network technology in computer vision, VR/AR/MR image processing and IoT. Politz also announced that Imagination Technologies will soon reveal new technologies that will be significant in the AI industry.
