Ensigma™ Connectivity is a family of high-performance and low-power IP solutions for as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Classic, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) and IEEE 802.15.4 based solutions such as Zigbee and Thread. The IP is specifically designed to meet the communications requirements for low-power consumption application such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and wearables, implementing all of the communication requirements for complex low-power System on Chips (SoCs).

The Ensigma iEW220 2.4/5 GHz low-power Wi-Fi TMSC 40nmLP IP is a complete ready to market IP solution including integrated RF, AFE, baseband PHY and MAC. The IP is supplied as a hard macro for the analogue section and synthesisable RTL for the digital sections, enabling maximum flexibility and fastest time to market with reduced development costs. The iEW220 connects to an external CPU through an AXI host interface.

The iEW220 enables compact ultra-small form factor solutions with minimal external components, reducing silicon costs and system level eBOM costs. Utilising advanced design techniques and process technology to deliver the lowest active and idle power, the iEW220 extends the system battery life while maintaining consistent connectivity and complimented by a rich set of Wi-Fi features.
