Andrew Heath appointed a non-executive director

Imagination Technologies Group plc (LSE: IMG, “Imagination” or “the Group”), a leader in System-on-Chip Intellectual Property (“SoC IP”), are pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Heath as an independent non-executive director with effect from 1st August, 2012.

Since 2010 Andrew has held the position of President, Energy at Rolls Royce. He joined Rolls-Royce as an undergraduate trainee in 1982 and progressed to Managing Director, Control Systems Operating Unit in 2001. He was appointed as President, Texas Aero Engines Services Limited (TAESL) in 2005, and two years later was appointed Chief Executive Officer, Rolls Royce Fuel Cell Systems, before moving into the Energy Business in 2009 as Chief Operating Officer.

Andrew brings a wealth of international business experience gained through his executive roles at Rolls Royce, the global power systems company, over the past 30 years. During this time he has lived both in the UK and US. He currently serves on the Supervisory Board of Tognum AG and is Chairman of Rolls-Wood Group, a joint venture company between Rolls-Royce and Wood Group.

Geoff Shingles, Chairman of Imagination, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Andrew to the Board. His considerable business experience in a leading technology company with global reach will bring a valuable additional perspective of international business and technology to our strategy. The Board all look very much to working with him.”

He will also join the Remuneration and Audit Committees, and it is expected he will become the Chairman of the Remuneration Committee after a suitable handover period. His appointment is the continuation of the Company’s exercise in enhancing the independent non-executive director representation on the board.

The Group confirms that there is no information to disclose relating to Mr. Heath under rules 9.6.13 (1) to (6) of the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
