OMAP 4 is the latest SoC from Texas Instruments and Imagination’s stand will be the best place to see this stunning device put through its graphical paces.
Says Ola Larsen, VP Marketing at TAT: “We’ve worked closely with TI and Imagination for many years, and we’re proud to show the very latest in our UI technology on TI’s new OMAP 4 platform. Being able to utilise the powerful graphics capabilities of POWERVR SGX on OMAP 4 has enabled us to set new standards for high quality UI experiences.”
DigitalAria, a developer of state of the art GUI framework technology, will be showing how graphics acceleration and advanced mobile platform technology provide OEMs with the power to create rich-media user experiences. They will be showcasing their latest UI demos featuring photo-realistic effects running on the Motorola Droid.
Says Catherine Chang, Global Marketing Manager, DigitalAria: “Everyone knows that UI is a major factor when consumers decide on new mobile product and POWERVR is a key enabler of advanced graphical UI experiences. With Imagination at MWC we are looking forward to demonstrating our latest tools for advanced UI development, including our new Physics Engine, Spotlight UI and Deform Video Album.”.
Fishlabs, specialized in developing premium 3D mobile games, based in Hamburg, will be demonstrating their award-winning Rally Master Pro in a dedicated version using OpenGL ES 2.0 shader graphics on the iPhone 3GS and Sony-Ericsson’s Satio, Vivaz and Kanna.
Says Michael Schade, CEO, Fishlabs: “POWERVR technology brings console graphics to mobile phones and this is exactly what we at FISHLABS have been waiting for. Our games are made for avid gamers who used to play a lot when they were young but have only less time for their hobby today. Smartphones powered by the POWERVR SGX are ideal to give them the superior game experience they want wherever they are and whenever they have some spare time.”
Digital Legends, Barcelona’s international award-winning games studio, are sure to be a show highlight with the debut of Extreme Ball, a demo custom made for Imagination to show off the capabilities of POWERVR SGX, which will be running on a big screen on stand as well as on a variety of platforms throughout Imagination’s booth.
Says Xavier Carrillo Costa, CEO, Digital Legends: “At Digital Legends we have already created several successful games for POWERVR enabled platforms. Imagination has always provided excellent support for its developer partners so we were delighted to be able to get involved with the creation of an exclusive demo featuring OpenGLES2.0 and targeting a wide range of OS including Limo, Maemo, Symbian, Windows Mobile, iPhoneOS and Android to show the capabilities of the latest POWERVR enabled devices.”
Kishonti and Visioglobe will demonstrate smarter mobile phone navigation with map data and 3D content from NAVTEQ, the leading global provider of digital map, traffic and location data for in-vehicle, portable, wireless and enterprise solutions.
