Imagination joins Open Handset Alliance

MOBILE WORLD CONGRESS, Barcelona, Spain – 25th February 2013 – Imagination Technologies
(IMG.L), a leading multimedia, processor, communications and cloud technologies company,
announces it has joined the Open Handset Alliance (OHA), a group of leading technology and mobile
companies who have come together to accelerate innovation in mobile. Thanks to the support of OHA
members, Android has become the world’s most popular mobile platform, powering over half a billion
devices to date.

Imagination has been a strong supporter of Android since its inception. Imagination’s technologies
ship in nearly 40% of both the Android smartphone and tablet markets as well as smart TV, mini-PC
and STB products powered by Android. The company’s MIPS processor family is one of the officially
supported architectures in the upstream Android platform.
