Imagination Technologies announces Texas Instruments’ new OMAP2430 Processor to utilize its PowerVR MBX Lite graphics Core

Imagination Technologies Group plc (“”;Imagination Technologies””;), the leading provider of multimedia and communication intellectual property (“”;IP””;), reports that Texas Instruments Incorporated (“”TI””) will utilize Imagination’s PowerVR MBX Lite core in its new OMAP2430 processor. The OMAP2430 processor is part of the OMAP™ 2 family of application processors. TI reports that the OMAP2430 processor is sampling now and expected to be in production in 2006.

Under the terms of its licensing arrangements Imagination Technologies receives license fees and royalty revenues on System on Chips (“”SoC””) incorporating Imagination Technologies’ IP shipped by partners.
