Imagination Technologies at ESEC 2005

Leader in Mobile Multimedia Technologies Shows Latest IP

London, UK, 28th June 2005: Imagination Technologies, a leader in system-on-chip intellectual property (SoC IP), will be presenting its licensable IP technology at the 8th Embedded Systems Expo and Conference (ESEC) in Tokyo from June 29th through July 1st 2005 at Tokyo Big Site.

Imagination Technologies will be showcasing IP for mobile entertainment including the PowerVR MBX graphics and video IP and mobile TV IP enabling ISDB-Tss, T-DMB and DVB-H devices.

Mobile phone, PDA and car navigation system devices utilizing Imagination’s IP will also be on display on the stand (4-21).

PowerVR MBX has rapidly been established as the de facto standard for high-performance graphics and video on mobile phones and PDAs. PowerVR MBX is being employed by leading semiconductor companies worldwide, including: Freescale (in i.MX31); Intel (in 2700G); Philips (in Nexperia PN4008); Renesas (in SH-Mobile3); Samsung; and TI (in OMAP2).

Other Imagination Technologies IP is already shipping in mobile consumer products for the DAB and T-DMB markets and has been licensed for use in future DVB-H products. Imagination has a range of IP applicable to mobile devices, digital TV and radio receivers, in-car information and entertainment systems, PCs, arcade/gaming machines and games consoles.
