PURE launches its most affordable “Works with iPhone” radio

Siesta iDock - DAB bedside radio with iPod/ iPhone dock

London, UK, 27th October 2009: PURE – the world’s leading radio maker – presents Siesta iDock, its most affordable Works with iPhone”” DAB bedside radio available at an SRP of just £89.99.

Siesta iDock is a stereo DAB/ DAB+*/ FM clock radio with iPod and iPhone dock, which is fully compliant with Apple’s “”Made for iPod”” and “”Works with iPhone”” programmes. Track and ‘now playing’ information is displayed on the Siesta iDock screen and users can control their iPod/ iPhone via the radio. Siesta iDock is compact, but sounds great and includes: A large auto-dimming display; four quick-set alarms; sleep and snooze timers and 15 DAB/FM presets.

Siesta iDock also features the PURE PowerPort which provides power for USB accessories such as mobile phone chargers, reading lights, bedside fans and cup warmers, solving the problem of having insufficient power points next to the bed.

*DAB+ is a new and enhanced version of DAB and is now being adopted by many countries as their platform choice for digital radio. It’s likely that it will be a few years before UK broadcasters take up DAB+, but the majority of PURE products are already ‘DAB+ ready’.
